What

In 2020, RaffleWise started life as a WordPress plugin which transforms a regular ecommerce website into a fully fledged competition site. RaffleWise now powers over 50 live competition sites throughout the UK and Ireland. RaffleWise Community, is an effort to bring competition sites together in a secure and enjoyable place for both consumers and site operators.

Why

We have seen hundreds of competition sites starting up within the last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Most of these are ran on completely separate websites, some require registration, saving card details, etc. These competition sites can be quite disposable to the consumer, i.e. very much fire and forget. With new and exciting sites coming almost every few days, and almost all of them using Facebook Ads as their sole vehicle for promotion, things get very casual and one off. Customers will go anywhere, depending on the prize, odds and perceived reputation of the website. We aim to consolidate as much of this as we can using RaffleWise Community.

Where

Individual competitions will be listed here on RaffleWise.ie from many different sites. Websites which opt-in will be able to install a wordpress plugin called RaffleWise Community. This plugin do the following:

  • Post competitions to RaffleWise Community automatically (Competition title, image, closing date, ticket counts and price per ticket will be sent for each listing)
  • Updade stock levels automatically when tickets are bought or released for re-sale (e.g. when an order is cancelled).
  • Log users in automatically by sharing their details quickly on the competition site (This means the customers don’t have to register on every individual site)

When

We are currently doing Research & Development of RaffleWise Community. There are a number of top Competition sites already opted in, don’t be left behind.

  1. Phase 1: R&D – January 2021-March 2021
  2. Phase 2: Plugin Development: March-April 2021
  3. Phase 3: Alpha & Beta Testing for select few sites: April-May 2021
  4. Release & Full Onboarding: June 2021
